Zoë and Mike first came together as thecoalshed in 2012, successfully collaborating on the creative and media launch for comparison website, broadbandchoices. This campaign delivered over one million unique visitors in the first three months.

We have recently worked with the fifth largest financial comparison website, money.co.uk, having planned, launched and delivered their first foray into TV advertising which helped to increase brand awareness significantly.

Zoë is a talented and experienced TV creative and producer, having produced over 300 brand and direct response commercials in the past 16 years.

She has helped raise numerous challenger brands to household name status, from Confused.com to moonpig.com and envirofone to Protect your bubble.  This in addition to working with more established finance and service brands, such as Liverpool Victoria and the National Accident Helpline, amongst many others.


With 15 years client side brand development expertise and 5 years agency experience, Mike has specialised in developing ecommerce and service brands since 1999 and comparison websites since 2005.

He launched the first internet-only car insurer elephant.co.uk, brought fame and notoriety to esure managing the memorable Michael Winner “Calm down dear” campaign and re-positioned comparison website uSwitch, by introducing the highly successful “U gotta switch!”
